10 Years Midwifery Experience As A Community Midwife
Kate is a Certified Professional Midwife licensed in the State of Wisconsin. Working in both home and birth center settings, she has attended over 500 births. She has also worked in a low to high risk Birth Program in collaboration with family practices physicians that served the Amish and Plain communities. She currently attends both home births and birth center births at the La Farge Birth and Wellness Center, a shared space with two other local midwives, located in La Farge, WI. Kate is a Maya Abdominal Therapy® practitioner as well as a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, and can therefore provide a comprehensive and knowledgeable physiologic approach to birth.

Bodywork - Breech Birth Options
Abdominal Therapy supports the physical changes experienced by women during pregnancy. With regular massage, the uterus stays well-positioned, receives good blood supply, and thus grows strong and resilient. Spinning Babies® techniques help to prepare the body for an easier birth as well as encourage baby into an optimal birth position, including helping to turn a breech baby to a head-down position.
